enior citizens are not usually at the front of a teen-ager's mind
during a week of sports, contests, socials and a talent show. But
the nearly 400 B'nai B'rith Youth Organization members who
participated in the annual regional convention last week at the Jewish
Community Center in West Bloomfield took time out to help others.
During a three-hour drop-in session, between other activities, each
BBYO chapter worked on a lap quilt or blanket for a senior citizen liv-
ing in area assisted living or nursing home facilities. Each chapter had
a profile of the person for whom it was making the quilt.
This month, representatives of the chapters will deliver the finished
products to the recipients. ❑
