PAULINE GROSSMAN, 88, of

Southfield, died Dec. 20, 2004.
She is survived by her daughters,
Marilyn Leaf of Woodland Hills, Calif.,
Nancy Bernstein of Woodland Hills;
brother and sister-in-law, Samuel and
Vera Fried of West Bloomfield; sister
and brother-in-law, Goldie and Leonard
Mirvis of Southfield; grandchildren,
Matthew and Cathy Leaf, Jeffrey Leaf,
Julia Bernstein, Stefannie Bernstein;
great-grandchildren, Jordan Leaf, Parker
Leaf. She was the beloved wife of the
late Dr. Sol Grossman.
Contributions may be made to a char-
ity of one's choice. Interment at Hebrew
Memorial Park. Arrangements by

PAUL HAMBURGER, 71, of

Southfield, died Dec. 23, 2004.
He is survived by his son, Douglas
Hamburger of Southfield; grandson,
Aaron Hamburger. He was the beloved
husband of the late Deanne Hamburger;
loving father of the late Jill Hamburger;
dear brother of the late Marilyn
Weinberg.

DR. SHELDON MORTON KAHN,

76, of Ann Arbor, died Dec. 14, 2004.
He is survived by daughter and son-
in-law, Samantha and Michael Herrick;
sons and a daughter-in-law, Jason and
Sheila Kahn and Aaron Kahn.
Interment at B'nai Ruven #1, Jewish
Waldheim Cemetery in Chicago.
Contributions may be made to the char-
ity of one's choice. Arrangements by Ira
Kaufman Chapel.

REGINA KASS, 93, of Oak Park, died
Dec. 23, 2004. She was born in
Montreal; her parents had immigrated
there from Lithuania. She studied music
and earned a diploma in piano studies
from McGill University.
During her early years in Detroit, she
served as executive secretary to George
Cater, president of the Detroit Insurance
Agency. After her marriage in 1941, she
taught shorthand and typing to supple-
ment wartime earnings. She did her part
to maintain family continuity by coordi-
nating the activities of the Weinman
Family Club, which now numbers over
250.

Mrs. Kass was a music teacher, a
member of Adat Shalom Synagogue,
very active with the American Jewish
Congress, a life member of Hadassah, a
founding member
of Hillel Day
School and a
founding member
of the Jewish
Parents Institute.
She was also a
trustee of the
Hugo Kauder
Society, dedicated
to promoting the
Kass
performance of
works by the early 20th century
Viennese Jewish violinist and composer.
Mrs. Kass is survived by her sons and
daughters-in-law, N. Roy and Judith
Kass of Washington, D.C., Robert and
Sonja Kass of Huntington Woods;
daughter and son-in-law, Ruthellen and
Dr. Robert Singer; grandchildren,
Michael Kass, Jeremie Kass, Sheri Rosen,
Elias Kass, Adena Kass, Benjamin and
Durga Singer, Jonathan Singer; sister-in-
law and brother-in-law, Rhea Albert and
Jack Greenbuam. She was the beloved
wife of the late Dr. Arnold Kass; loving
sister of the late Abraham Albert, the
late Irving Albert, the late Sariva
Greenbaum; dear sister-in-law of the late
Sarah Albert, the late Helen Kass, the
late Herman Kass, the late Ruth Kass
and the late Daisy Kass.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be made
to the Hugo Kauder Society Inc., do
Otto Lauder, 421 Humphrey St., New
Haven, CT 06511; the American Jewish
Congress, 18 E. 84th St. New York, NY
10028; or to charity of one's choice.
Interment at Clover Hill Park Cemetery.

LAVERNE KIEF, 84, of Southfield,

died Dec. 22, 2004. From 1963-1982,
she was an LPN at Sinai Hospital.
Mrs. Kief is survived by her sons and
daughters-in-law, Robert S. and Virginia
L. Kief, David J. and Pam Kief of
Southgate, Marvin S. Kief of Southfield;
grandchildren, Laura and Paul Rogers,
