Greater Detroit Chapter of Hadassah
will sponsor its annual Family FunFair,
for families with young children ages 9
and younger, Sunday, Jan. 30, at the
Costick Activity Center, 28600 11
Mile Road, Farmington Hills from
noon-4 p.m.
The afternoon, co-sponsored by the
Jewish News, will feature a Steve
Zieman magic show at 1:30 p.m., car-
nival games with prizes, moonwalks,
clowns, face-painting, tattoos and bal-
loon animals, all included with an
admission ticket. Pop, snacks and
Jerusalem Pizza will be available for
purchase as well as chances for chil-
dren and adult prizes.
Admission is: $20 Family Pack (five
admission tickets); $5 single ticket;
children age 2 and younger admitted
free.

Volunteer mentors are needed to work
with middle school students in Walled
Lake.The volunteer commitment is
one hour, one day per week from
January through June.
Mentors are also needed in a com-
munity-based program to visit with a
child or teen on a consistent basis for
at least one year. The visiting can be
weekly or bi-weekly, depending on the
mentor's schedule:
MentorWorks is a non-sectarian
Jewish Family Service program that
matches children and teens with car-
ing adult mentors who offer encour-
agement and guidance and aid in their
becoming healthy, productive adults.
