called to the Torah as a bar mitzvah
on Saturday, Dec.
18, at Temple
Emamu-El. He is
the son of Susan
and Bruce
Fershtman and
brother of Jordan
and Leah. Proud
grandparents
Milton and Beverly
Dunn will share in the simchah. He
is also the grandson of the late
Norman and Jeanette Fershtman and
the late Esther Fershtman.
Daniel is a seventh-grade student
at Berkshire Middle School in
Beverly Hills. He and his family will
enjoy his bar mitzvah in Israel on
Masada as part of a family tour. His
mitzvah projects included packing
boxes at Yad Ezra in Berkley and
working as a teen volunteer at Safety
Town in Birmingham.

Samantha Grace Fine will be called
to the Torah as a bat mitzvah on
Saturday, Dec. 18,
at Congregation
B'nai Moshe. She
is the daughter of
Elyse and Steven
Fine and the sister
of Hannah. Her
excited grandpar-
ents are Ethel and
Nate Fine and
Anita and Jack Lampcov.
Samantha is an honor student at
Orchard Lake Middle School in
West Bloomfield. She performs
many mitzvot, including donating
her hair to Locks of Love and weekly
donations to Yad Ezra in Berkley.
For her bat mitzvah, she participated
in the Michigan Anti-Cruelty
Society's Pooch Prance as well as
being a peer pal at school.

David Fiszbein, son of Lisa and
Michael Fiszbein, celebrated his bar
mitzvah when he read from the
Torah Oct. 30 at Temple Emanuel
in Tempe, Ariz. He is the grandson
of Charlotte and Arthur Fiszbein of
Farmington Hills.
