brokerage commission. Is this a good idea?

A. It may appear to be a reasonable choice, however, I feel strongly

that a Realtor will net you more money than if you attempt the
job yourself. There are a myriad of details that accompany real
estate transactions and a Realtor has been trained to handle every
one of them. You should consider the following:

• Are you able to be at home to qualify and to show prospects
your house throughout the day?
• The security of having a Realtor accompany all prospects is
reassuring.
• The multiple listing service exposes your property in ways that
an owner selling privately cannot take advantage of.
• There are additional costs incurred when selling yourself:
• additional attorney fees
• for sale and open signs
• advertising costs in the newspaper for
several months
• Transferees work with Realtors because they don't know the areas
and don't have time to read your various ads.
• One overlooked factor is that sophisticated buyers often discount
your price by the brokerage fee and then begin to negotiate.
Where then, is the savings to you?

A house is typically your most important asset.
I believe a Realtor can help you protect
this investment with professional services
to allow you to get top dollar in the shortest time
with the fewest problems.
