Matthew is an eighth-grade student
at Keller Middle School in Royal
Oak. For his mitzvah project, he
helped out in various areas at Shaarey
Zedek, helping in the mailroom and
at different programs.

become a bat mitzvah at Temple Beth
El on Saturday, Nov. 13. Participat-
ing in the ceremo-
ny will be her par-
ents, Truman and
Gayle Timmis; her
brothers Ryan, 15,
and Jake, 11, along
with her sister
Stephanie, 8. Proud
grandparents are
Sam and Anne
Tanenhaus and Dr.
Gerald Timmis.
Shelby is a student at Birmingham
Covington School.

Matthew Zachary Wener will be
called to the Torah on Saturday, Nov.
13, at Adat Shalom Synagogue. He is
the son of
Alexandra and
Joseph Wener and
younger brother of
Gillian. His loving
grandparents are
Eleanor and Moe
Weisberg and
Martin Wener, all
of Montreal,
Canada. He is also the grandson of
the late Rae Wener.
Matthew is an eighth-grade honor
student at Orchard Lake Middle
School in West Bloomfield. His mitz-
vah projects this year included prepar-
ing lunches for the homeless, partici-
pating in several activities with JARC
and volunteering at Yad Ezra in
Berkley.
