The Brightest Tomorrows Begin Here. ®

Our rabbis serve 750 congregations,
more than 600 youth groups and
over 5,000 bowls of soup.

Rabbis are not necessarily known for their culinary expertise, but that didn't stop Rabbi David
Rosenn's organization, AVODAH: The Jewish Service Corps, from being part of the important work of a
number of soup kitchens, job training programs and hunger advocacy organizations. As Executive
Director of AVODAH, Rabbi Rosenn helps young Jews deepen their commitment to Jewish life
and social change through a year of Jewish study and service to organizations dedicated to
urban poverty issues, including housing, healthcare and education.

Rabbi Rosenn is just one example of the many and varied career paths chosen by
graduates of The Rabbinical School of The Jewish Theological Seminary. At The
Rabbinical School, both men and women receive the highest level of academic, spiritual
and professional preparation necessary for entry into a rewarding career in the rabbinate.
Careers that include service in congregational life, hospital or military chaplaincy, campus
work, education, scholarship and Jewish communal service.
