vah Saturday, Nov.
13, at Congrega-
tion Beth Ahm. He
is the brother of
Maxx. His grand-
parents are Florence
Chafets and Esther and Aaron
Friedman. Ben is also the grandson of
the late Julius Lesnick and the late
Arthur Chafets.
Ben is a freshman honor student at
Walled Lake Central High School. For
his mitzvah project, he served as a vol-
unteer student mentor for at-risk
sixth-grade students at Walnut Creek
Middle School.

Temple Israel. She
is the daughter of
Sharon Matlen and
Dr. Steven Matlen
and the sister of
Lisa. Her grandpar-
ents are Esther and
Hyman Matlen and
Theodore Ross and
the late Betty Ross.
Stacey attends
Dunckel Middle School in
Farmington Hills. She volunteered, as
part of her mitzvah projects, at Temple
Israel's Labor Day picnic in addition
to making donations to charities of
her choice.

Hannah Michelle Moiseev will be
called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah on
Saturday, Nov. 13, at Congregation
Beth Shalom. Hannah is the daughter
of proud parents Andrew and Marla
Moiseev and the
loving sister of
David. She will be
joined on the
bimah by her
proud grandparents
Anita and Clifford
Rogers and Nathan
Moiseev. Great-
grandfather
Zangwell Garber
will also participate. Hannah is also
granddaughter of the late Ada Moiseev
and the late Harvey David Lipton.
Hannah is a seventh-grade honor
student at Norup School in Oak Park.
For her mitzvah project, she has
learned to knit and, together with
friends and family, is knitting lap pads
to donate to Hadassah.

Noah Mozen-Johnson of Palo Alto,
Calif., was called to the Torah as a
bar mitzvah at Havdalah services
Oct. 16. Noah is the son of Sheri
Mozen Johnson (formerly of West
Bloomfield) and Scott Johnson of
Marin County, Calif. Grandparents
are Eleanor and Bernard Silver of Del
Ray Beach, Fla., and the late Dr.
Herschel Mozen. Many family mem-
bers attended including Dr. and Mrs.
Neal Mozen of West Bloomfield and
Dr. Paul Mozen of Reno, Nev. (for-
merly of West Bloomfield).
Noah is an eighth-grade honor stu-
dent at Jane Lathrop Stanford
Middle School in Palo Alto. For his
mitzvah project, he volunteered at a
preschool and a senior citizens hous-
ing facility and served food at a soup
kitchen.

Zoe Hannah Pinter was called to the
Torah as a bat mitzvah Saturday
morning, Nov. 6. She is the daughter
of Tina and Alan Pinter and sister of
Tony, Simon and Hank. Proud
grandmothers are Gertrude Rosen
and Sarah Pinter.
Zoe is also the
beloved grand-
daughter of the
late Herbert Rosen
and the late
Stanley Pinter.
Zoe is a seventh-
grade student at
Hillel Day School
and is involved with many charitable
organizations. She especially enjoys
contributing her time to working
with children.

Julie Lauren Piraino (Aviva Karmela)
of West Bloomfield will be called to
the Torah as a bat mitzvah at Temple
Israel Friday Nov. 12. Participating
in the ceremony will be her parents,
Vicki and Robert Piraino, and her
brother Bobby. She is the grandchild
of Barbara Moosey, the late Alice and
Leslie Green and
the late Anthony
Piraino.
Julie is an honor
student at Abbott
Middle School in
West Bloomfield.
As part of her
mitzvah projects,
she raised money
for cancer research and helped resi-
dents at Bortz Nursing Home in
Orchard Lake.
