THE IRA KAU FMAN CHAPEL

Katherine Elizabeth Hess will
celebrate her bat mitzvah Saturday,
Nov. 6, at Temple Israel. She is the
daughter of Karen
Feldstein and James
Hess and the sister
of Sam. Her excit-
ed grandparents are
Susanne and Dr.
Herbert Feldstein.
She is also the
grandchild of the
late Margaret and
Albert Hess.
Katie attends Roeper School in
Birmingham. For her mitzvah
projects, she donated funds to the
Wheelchair Foundation in addition
to volunteering at both Gleaners
Community Food Bank in Detroit
and at the Oakland County
Food Bank.

Amy Oberman celebrated her bat
mitzvah Saturday, Oct. 30 at Temple
Beth El. She is the daughter of Laurie
Oberman and the late Ira Oberman,
the sister of Stacey Oberman and the
granddaughter of Jack and Barbara
Seedman, the late Shirley Seedman,
and the late Maurice and Esther
Oberman.
Amy is an eighth grader at Orchard
Lake Middle School. She enjoys
dance, tennis, art and all the activities
at Tamarack summer camp. Her
mitzvah projects included volunteer-
ing at Yad Ezra, making dolls for hos-
pitalized children at Hadassah House
and participating in Relay for Life for
the American Cancer Society.
