JNPLATINUM

Last November, I expe-
rienced my own personal
miracle.
I was 23 weeks preg-
nant when I went to the
hospital with what I
thought was the flu. I was
diagnosed with a heart
tumor and I went into con-
gestive heart failure.
A few days later, at the
University of Michigan
Medical Center, I was
placed on a life support
system called ECM() and
I delivered my second
daughter, who was unable
to survive my trauma.
While on ECMO, I had
a seizure and my family
was told to make my final
arrangements. They
refused to give up, as did
I; and after three more
open-heart surgeries and
months of rehabilitation, I
am completely healed.
The doctors tell me I
