B'nai B'rith International (BBI) will
launch B'nai B'rith Radio, the first 24-
hour, all Jewish music radio station out-
side Israel.
The station will broadcast a diverse
Judaic play list, including traditional
Yiddish, secular Israeli, Jewish American,
instrumental and chasidic music.
Executive Vice President of B'nai
B'rith International Daniel S.
Mariaschin will narrate the program in
English. There are plans to launch
Spanish and French versions of the net-
work later in the year, with the ultimate
goal of uniting Jews around the world
through the richness of Jewish music.
The station is free of charge and com-
mercials, fully subsidized by B'nai B'rith
International, its members and support-

Etgar 36 is a summer program for
Jewish teens that combines a cross-coun-
try journey with politics and activism.
The founder and director of Etgar 36,
Billy Planer, will speak to parents and
teens about the program 5:30 p.m.
Sunday, Nov. 7, at the Jewish
Community Center in West Bloomfield.
The program is open to the public.

Rabbi Steven Greenberg, author of
Wrestling with God and Man,
Homosexuality in the Jewish Tradition,
will speak 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7, at
the Jewish Community Center's 53rd
annual Book Fair at the JCC in West
Bloomfield, followed by a reception.
Co-sponsors of the event are
Affirmations Lesbian and Gay
Community Center, Jewish Family
Service, Jewish Gay Network of
Michigan and the Triangle Foundation.
Admission to the speaker is $5 for
JCC members and $8 for non-members.
A series pass for 13 speakers is $36 for
JCC members and $45 for non-mem-

ADL Hosts 'Presidents'
Political impressionist Jim Morris will
entertain guests at the Anti-Defamation
League's "A Night With All The
Presidents" Tuesday, Nov. 9, at
Knollwood Country Club in West
Bloomfield. Cocktails and a strolling
dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m., and the
program is scheduled for 8 p.m.
Morris has become famous as a living
political cartoon. He has starred in TV
comedy specials and has appeared on
Comic Relief and the Tonight Show.
This is a major fund-raising event for
the Michigan Region of the Anti-
Defamation League. Event co-chairs are
Hilary and Selwyn Isakow and Mary
and Jonathan Aaron. Tickets are $200
per guest or $118 for guests age 35 and
under.

Heart Fund Hosts Doctor
The Israel Heart Fund will host Dr.
Morton Leibowitz from Israel Monday,
Nov. 15, 9 a.m. at Adat Shalom
Synagogue. Dr. Leibowitz is IHF scien-
tific director and a senior physician at
Meir Hospital's Department of
Cardiology who founded the Israel
Heart Fund in 1993.

Chanukah Focus: Babies!
The Federation Women's Campaign and
Education Department will present
"Smile Baby ... It's Chanukah!" Monday,
Nov. 15, 10:30 a.m.-noon at the Max

Mothers with babies from birth up to
3 years are invited to the event. Pierce
Street Portraits will take a mini photo
shoot at $15 for one black and white
4x6 photo of each baby.
