Southfield, Larisa and Mark Kan of
Keego Harbor; grandchildren,

beloved husband of the late Nina
Matusova.

NORMAN E. SCHAEFFER, 80, for-
mer Detroiter of Williamsville, N.Y.,
died Sept. 28, 2004. He was a gradu-
ate of Central High School, who then
received his bachelor's degree and his
master's of business administration
from the University of Michigan.
Mr. Schaeffer is survived by his
wife, Dolores; daughter, Sandra
Schaeffer of Denver; son and daugh-
ter-in-law, Richard and Madonna
Schaeffer of Sarasota, Fla.; grandson,
Robert; sister and brother-in-law, Rita
and Arnold Weiss of Williamsville;
sister-in-law and brother-in-law,
Marilyn and Allen Weiss of
Bloomfield Hills.
PERRY SCHWARTZ, 87, of Walled
Lake, died Oct. 17, 2004. He was the
owner of Duke Credit
Company, a dry goods
and household supply
store. Mr. Schwartz
served in World War
II and was a member
of the Flying Tigers,
for Veterans who

served in China,
Burma and India.
He is survived by his beloved wife,
Ethel Schwartz; daughters and sons-in-
law, Joan and Larry Wheaton of
Carlsbad, Calif, Judy and Fred Vocino
of Novi; grandchildren, Claire Price
and Daniel Vocino. He was the broth-
er of the late Sophia Schwartz and the
late Katherine Farr.
