The Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit (Kg, an independent
agency of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit, is seeking a Chief
Executive Officer (CEO). The JCC has 4,500 family and individual members and
offers them and the community a broad spectrum of social, educational and
recreational services. It draws its support from a combination of membership
dues, program fees from its core business, annual agency fundraising and gen-
eral community support.

Responsibilities

The CEO will provide strong leadership and direction to maximize business opportu-
nities, foster a responsive, customer-oriented climate, provide state-of-the-art programs
and services that both respond to market trends and customer feedback and enhance
revenue, ensure fiscal accountability, achieve quality execution, employ "cutting edge"
technology, oversee the day-to-day operations, implement a system to collect market
data on current and potential customers, and successfully employ lay resources and
enhance staff performance to realize the JCC mission and vision. The CEO will also
work closely with the President and Board of Directors to create a vision and imple-
ment a business plan for the current and long-term direction of the JCC.

Qualifications

A minimum of ten (10) years managerial leadership experience including a minimum
of five (5) years in a supervisory role.
A Bachelor's Degree required.
Demonstrated success in management of a business.
Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial skills.
A resourceful, innovative, results-oriented "doer".
Creates and energizes an atmosphere of positive change.
Charismatic individual that engenders confidence and trust; possesses a reputation
of integrity.
Strong oral communication and public speaking skills.
Easily articulates vision and standards.
Management experience in Jewish arts, sports and fitness, camping and recreation,
Jewish education, or related fields a plus.

Highly competitive salary/benefits commensurate with experience.
