"If Mikhail Baryshnikov isn't the finest car on
the road today, he's certainly the sweetest,
most expressive and most fascinating on
any stage. The audience is in for a delightful
ride." (San Francisco Chronicle) When love
turns sour, madness sets in. The sailor Chito
returns from sea to discover that his fiancé
has betrayed him. Distraught, he throws
himself into the sea, only to be rescued
by his guardian angel. Chito recovers fully,
except for his delusional belief that he is a
car. This stylish and inventive synthesis of
art, poetry, drama, and movement is set in a
Soviet Georgian village during the early 1950s
and tells the story of a doctor and a patient
and the perilous and emotional journey
they undertake one Christmas Eve. With
poignancy and humor, the play addresses
loss, madness, self-discovery, and love.

Starring Mikhail Baryshnikov!
