• Libya would not have relinquished its weapons programs. • North Korea would be less fearful of, and thus even more menacing toward, the United States. Israel is winning the war against Islamic terrorists. President Bush has shown moral courage in not stand- ing in its way, despite enormous world pressure. Supporters of Sen. Kerry typically are quick to con- demn President Bush, but not to mention that our homeland has been free of terrorist strikes for more than three years. Does his administration get none of the credit for these aus- picious events? The United States has been well served by President Bush, and our nation will be best served by return- ing him to office. He is our best choice, first and foremost because we are Americans, but also because as Jews, we never have had a better friend in the White House. No mat- ter if we have a Likud or Labor gov- ernment in Israel, the State of Israel, as well, benefits from President Bush's leadership and clarity. Please join former New York mayor Ed Koch, a lifelong liberal Democrat, in staunchly supporting President Bush's re-election. • ❑ provide tax relief for 98 percent of Americans. He will cut the deficit in half during his first four years in office. He will end corporate welfare, roll back the Bush tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans and impose a real cap to keep spending in check. Kerry has a real plan to provide all Americans with health insurance and prescription drug coverage. If your issue is education, he will actually spend the money necessary to adequately fund No Child Left Behind. There's the issue of the Supreme Court and appointment of as many as three justices to protect choice and civil rights, especially in light of the Patriot Act. I choose to allow Kerry to pick these justices, not Bush. If your issue is the environment, Kerry is clearly the choice. Bush has been a disaster in the fight to preserve our envi- ronment. On every issue, a vote for John Kerry is a vote for change; a vote for George Bush is a vote for more of the same. This year for America, for Israel and for the safety and security of my children, I'm voting for John Kerry. ❑ Drs.
