Temple Offers Adult Classes

Oct. 13 will mark the beginning of
several Temple Beth El adult education
classes.
Rabbi David Castiglione will lead a
nine-week Introduction to Judaism
course for prospective converts, non-
Jewish partners ()flews and Jews seek-
ing a better understanding of Judaism.
The classes will be held at 7 p.m.
Wednesdays beginning Oct. 13. Cost
is $75 for members and $95 for non-
members. Couples taking the seminar
together will be charged only one fee.
Rabbi Castiglione will also lead
Breakfast with the Rabbi, a Wednes-
day discussion of the Psalms, on Oct.
13, Nov. 3 and 17 and Dec. 1, each
starting at 8 a.m. Cost is $3 per ses-
sion, payable at the door.
On Wednesday evenings, Oct. 13,
20 and 27 and Nov. 3, at 7 p.m.,
Rabbi Daniel Syme will present Jewish
Law in Modern Life. There is no
charge.
Keren Alpert, director of education,
will continue a Thursday lunch and
learn program Oct. 14, discussing
"Judaism During the Time of Jesus."

Her Nov. 18 topic will be "What's a
Haftarah?" The series will conclude
Dec. 2 with "The Truth About
Chanukah." There is no charge for the
noon brown-bag lunch program.
On Sunday, Oct. 24, at 10:30 a.m.,
Leonard Beigler, Temple Beth El's
youth and family counselor, will pres-
ent a parenting forum on "Kids and
After-School Sports." There is no
