For upper elementary and middle school girls, Mean Girls examines the issues of the
girl bully, cliques and the price of popularity.

"Students commented on tips they learned on how to handle a bully--talk to the
person, seek help from a grown up, don't be a bystander and strive to be "kind
instead of right". This is our second year of using JET productions and I hope we
can continue to use them in the future."

For middle and high school students, Word takes an incident of bullying and exam-
ines it from three different perspectives--the victim, the bully and a witness.

"Student response was very positive. The play demonstrated what our counselors
had been talking about with our students. ..one of whom said 'it was better and
more meaningful to see it than just hear about if."
