He is survived by his children, Keith (Deborah) of Syosset, N.Y., Ronald (Carolyn) of Rye, N.Y.; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Alfred Stein of West Bloomfield; grandchildren, Steven, Jacqueline, Graham and Ryan Richman. Services in New York. SIDNEY RISKIN, 90, of Southfield, formerly of Flint and Lake Worth, Fla., died Sept. 14, 2004. He was born in Dublin, Ireland, in 1913, one of nine children. In 1920, the family moved from Dubin to Flint. As an intelligence non-commissioned officer during World War II, Mr. Riskin served in the Southwest Pacific. Riskin During his military career, he also served as an interpreter in the interro- gation of prisoners. He was wounded in action in New Guinea in 1944 and was decorated with a Purple Heart, Bronze Star and many other ribbons and medals of high distinction. Back in the United States, Mr. Riskin married Natalie Sedersky of Chelsea, Mass., and they made their home in Flint. He owned Riskin Brothers Auto Parts until his retire- ment to Lake Worth. Mr. Riskin was a member of Congregation Beth Israel in Flint, then Congregation Beth Shalom in Lake Worth, as well as being active in the Jewish War Veterans in West Palm Beach. In 2000, he came back to Michigan and resided at Menorah House. There he became Residential Council president. His philosophy in life mirrored the words of his favorite song, "What A Wonderful World." Family, friends, Judaism and patriotism were priorities in his wonderful world. Mr. Riskin is survived by his daugh- ters and sons-in-law, Marleen and Richard Kramer of Oak Park, Elayne and Harvey Urnovitz of Huntington Woods; grandchildren, Jason (fiancee Erin Ross) Helfman, Todd (Kristal) Helfman, Brian Urnovitz, Abby Urnovitz and Josh Kramer.
