Those in our community who care
about Israel, and are concerned about
the resurgence of anti-Semitism world-

In "Supporting Israel" (Sept. 3, page
19), mention was made of Young
Judaea, the Zionist youth group spon-
sored by Hadassah. I wanted to update
everyone that last February at their
national midwinter convention, Young
Judaea (YJ) participants voted to change
their tagline to "the Zionist Youth
Movement of Hadassah."
I believe this seemingly small change
has to do with how intricately associated
YJ is with Hadassah. They are not just
an independent group funded by
Hadassah, but a part of Hadassah. They
represent our ideals, values and our
future. Their needs are addressed
through a broad range of YJ activities,
such as summer camps, yearlong studies
in Israel, and ongoing regional confer-
ences and events.
Young Judaea is the oldest Zionist
youth movement in the U.S. It is dedi-
cated to instilling Jewish values and
Jewish pride and a lifelong commitment
to Israel.
