This is my second year at the Jewish
Academy, and I love it. I first heard
about JAMD from some friends in
BBYO. When they spoke about
studying Hebrew, the Bible and other
Judaic topics, I craved the education
they were receiving. As president of
Michigan Region BBG, an enthusiastic
participant in many extracurricular
activities and an "A" student at my
public high school, not only did I feel
too busy to make any big changes in
my life, I knew it would be a momen-
tous risk to transfer schools. On top of
all these circumstances, I was already
late in my sophomore year of high
school and had settled in well with my
teachers and friends. Nevertheless, the
Jewish curiosity and passion I'd
discovered was significant enough that
I made the switch to JAMD, and I
couldn't be happier with my decision.
I'm so glad that I took the risk, and I
feel so fortunate to have found a place
like the Academy, where my hectic
teenage life and my Jewish life have
come together to create a new world of
infinite opportunity.
