At the recent annual Leadership Reception of the AMERICA RED
MAGEN DAVID FOR ISRAEL, John J. Mames Chapter-Michigan
Region there was a dedication ceremony for last year's dinner honorees,
Debbie and Mickey Stern. They gifted a fully-equipped Mobile Intensive
Cardiac Care ambulance to the people of Israel in memory of their par-
ents, Herman and Mollie Moss and Mark and Fani Sellenfreund.
The ARMDI Maimonides Award was presented to Debbie and Mickey
Stern for their great generosity by Judith Grant Granader, Dinner
Chairperson. Judith remarked, "In honoring your family there are people
in Israel today who will owe their future to you because of your precious
lifesaving ambulance."
Mickey Stern remarked, "We have come to believe that the most profitable
investment and the one that brings perhaps the greatest return, the high-
est honor and the most powerful sense of accomplishment is the investment
of charity."
The ambulance will soon be shipped to Israel, where it will bring emer-
gency relief to victims of terrorist attacks, accidents, medical distress and
life to newborn babies.
