Marisa Saltzman of
East Lansing has been
named a program asso-
ciate at Eastern
Michigan University
Hillel.
Saltzman, 22,
majored in communi-
cations, with a cognate
Saltzman
in social science at
Michigan State
University. She was a vice president and
social chair at MSU Hillel, and student
taught at Congregation Shaarey Zedek
of East Lansing for two years.
Saltzman's hiring was made possible
by funding from Hillel: The Foundation
for Jewish Campus Life and the Irwin
and Bethea Green College Life Fund.
Saltzman will work with student-run
groups such as Jewish Education School
Students, Jewish Business Students
Association, Israel Awareness, Gaygle,
Social Action and the Shabbat
Committee, serving 1,000 Jewish stu-
dents at EMU.
