We Get Questions

Q : My father was a World War II veteran. A
friend of mine suggested a VA marker on his grave,
which is significantly different than my mother's. I
think I would prefer a marker like hers, but I don't
want to be disrespectful to my dad's service, which
was very important to him. Am I wrong?

,

A: Not at all. You've already stated your desire to

duplicate your mom's stone, which is often the
way families select a marker. This by no means is
unpatriotic. The Government markers are there
for those who wish to take advantage of them.
