Rotter Heads HMC Forum

Harriet Band Rotter will lead a U.S.
Commission for the Preservation of
America's Heritage Abroad program
featuring chairman Warren L. Miller at
7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, at the
Holocaust Memorial Center,

President George
W. Bush appointed
Rotter, a Franklin

Miller will summarize findings of the
commission's newly published report
and speak on identifying and protect-
ing cultural heritage sites.
"The commission is the agency of
the U.S. government that deals directly
with the governments of Central and
Eastern Europe, including the former
Soviet Union, to ensure there is not
discrimination against any minority
group and that its cultural heritage is
protected," Rotter said.
Rotter, a family law practitioner, also
serves on the President's Advisory
Committee on the Arts of the John F.
Kennedy Center for the Performing
Arts.
