RANDI M. HOLTZMAN, 45, of
Southfield, died Aug. 18, 2004.
For 16 years, she was an investi-
gator for the Health and Regulatory
Division of the state of Michigan
and for seven years she was
employed as a prison guard; she
had an undergraduate degree from
Michigan State University in crimi-
nal justice. She also had a master's
degree in administration.
Mrs. Holtzman was active with
the Michigan Animal Rescue and
the Michigan Humane Society's
Meet Your Best Friend at the Zoo
program. She also showed her
award-winning dogs at American
Kennel Club competitions.
Ms. Holtzman is survived by her
parents, Dr. Sheldon and Joan
Simons of West Bloomfield; broth-
ers and sisters-
in-law, Alan and
Nancy Simons of
West Bloomfield,
Larry and Randi
Schreiber; sister
and brother-in-
law, Lisa and
Nick Philko. She
was the beloved
daughter of the
Holtzman
late Ethel
Simons.
