OBITS from page 93

Q: My parents just moved from Florida to
assisted living here in Detroit. They have a
pre-arranged and pre-paid funeral, which is
transferable according to the funeral home in
Florida. Is this true?

A:

The Florida funeral home is part of a
national chain that owns more than 600
cemeteries and funeral homes. The arrangements
they are speaking of would be carried out by
their Christian affiliates, either in Union Lake
or Rochester.

Correction

Last week, the Jewish Telegraphic
Agency erroneously reported that
1936 Olympic boycotter Milton
Green had died (page 90).
The JTA later corrected its
report, which was based on an
incorrect Associated Press dispatch.
In fact, it was another Milton
Green who died. Milton Green the
hurdler is alive and well.
