called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah
Saturday, Aug. 21, at Temple Shir
Shalom. Her parents,
Rebecca and Jay
Levine, along with
sister Kelsi, will cele-
brate this special day
with her. Rikki is the
granddaughter of
Yvonne Chapman,
Sally and Hy Levine
and the late Daniel
Chapman.
Rikki attends Walled Lake Middle
School, where she is an honor student.
Her mitzvah project is working with the
Almost Home Animal Rescue League,
where she cares for homeless dogs and
cats.

Bloomfield, B'nai
Israel Center. He is
the son of Jonathan
and Beth Lowe and
the brother of

Stefanie received her bachelor's
degree in mathematics from Michigan
State University. She is employed as a
subrogation specialist in Bloomfield
Hills.
Alan graduated from the College of
Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in
Des Moines, Iowa. He is a practicing
podiatrist in Detroit and Northville.
A November wedding is planned.

Bradley Alexander Pearl, son of Susan
and Michael Pearl, will celebrate his bar
mitzvah, Saturday, Aug. 21, at Temple
Israel. He is the
brother of Emily and
the grandson of
Evelyn and Leonard
Drootman. He is also
the grandchild of the
late Helen and Morris
Pearl.
He attends Walnut
Creek Middle School
in Walled Lake. Brad's
mitzvah project involved having a bake
sale and donating the proceeds to JARC
and Ronald McDonald House; he also
worked at a shelter with Temple Israel's
Caring Community.

Natalie Urbach Stern will be called to
the Torah as a bat mitzvah on Saturday,
Aug. 21, at Congregation Beth Ahm.
She is the daughter of Joan and Kenneth
Stern and sister of
Andrew. Proud
grandparents are
Paula Urbach and
Sylvia Stern. She is
also the granddaugh-
ter of the late Kurt
Urbach.
Natalie is a double
honor student at
Hillel Day School of
Metropolitan Detroit in Farmington
Hills. In addition to participating in
mitzvah projects through Hillel with
Fleischman and JARC residents, she
made fleece blankets for patients at the
University of Michigan Comprehensive
Cancer Center.
