He favors adding more miles to the
existing approximately 50 miles of walk-
ing and bicycle paths, possibly in the
form of a millage vote on the NOV. 2
ballot. "But we must control spending
because we're spending more than we're
taking in," he pointed out.
In regard to West Bloomfield's
involvement in the Tri-City Fire Dept.
Merger arrangement, providing police
and fire-fighting support to Keego
Harbor and Sylvan Lake, he says, "We're
paying more than our share. I'm against
too much of this 'foreign aid'."

Larry Horn, Democrat
Horn lists several concerns in his quest
for a trustee post nomination: Balancing
the budget; maintaining property values;
the township's aging infrastructure,
mainly the sewer system, which "we
must investigate and repair;" inconsis-
tency of garbage removal and road kill
removal; limiting the spreading of fertil-
izer around the lakes, and, in general,
keeping the lakes clean and desirable.
"With my background as a Realtor, I
understand the makeup of property val-
ues and I will do what I can to maintain
them at a high level," he said.

Gerald Chudler, Democrat
"We need a sign informing people
coming up Orchard Lake Road from the
south that they're entering West
Bloomfield," declared Chudler. "The
view at that point doesn't tell the true
story. A lot of work has to be done in
that area. We have to repair potholes on
the roads and in the strip mall parking
lots and widen Orchard Lake Road."
He says budget items must be priori-
tized — "we need $30 million alone for
sewer system repairs."
He said he would work toward con-
tinued preservation of the woods and
lakes.

citizens in a "respectful and team envi-
ronment manner to move the town-
ship forward" and help improve prop-
erty values. She explained: "There's
