DR. LAURENCE WELLMAN, 72,
former Detroiter of Redwood City,
Calif., died June 26, 2004. He gradu-
ated from Central High School, was a
member of Seymour Sobel AZA and
received his medical degree from the
University of Michigan. After leaving
the U.S. Air Force in 1960, he moved
to San Francisco, where he began a
career in obstetrics and gynecology.
He was chief of obstetrics at Kaiser
Hospitals in the San Francisco Bay
area for nearly 20 years. In addition,
he was a member of the executive
board of the Kaiser Permanente
Group.
Dr. Wellman is survived by his
beloved wife, Li-Tsu (Reiko); loving
son and daughter, Richard and
Renee; grandchildren, Derek, Kadin,
Elsa, Emily.
Contributions may be made to the
Alzheimer's Association, Research
Dep't. in Northern California.

DONALD WEST, 76, of Southfield,

died July 18, 2004 He was an animal
hide dealer.

He was the beloved husband of the
late Carmen West.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
