Justin encouraged kids to rally to the aid of their buddies in need who might feel isolated. "Always assume you're their only friend," he said. "He was hands-down the most inspirational person I've ever met," said Justin's brother Blake. Finding Time To Smile "Justin was a magician in a sense that I don't even think he understood," brother Chad said. "The magic of his sleight of hand and stagecraft paled in comparison to the magic with which he filled the world. "It is perhaps more dazzling that he taught himself innumerable talents, perhaps more wondrous that he cared so deeply about his friends and family. Perhaps it is more awe-inspiring that when faced with cancer he still found time to smile." A letter written to Justin by his mother, Lynne Roman, was read at his funeral by his stepfather, Rabbi Norman T. Roman of Temple Kol Arai_ She wrote of her son's persist- ence to anything he put his mind to — and the inspiration he was to his family and how much they learned from him. "The enthusiasm you bring to your life will never leave us," she wrote. "The love that surrounds you will never die. The magic you brought to all of our lives can never die."
