Senior Concert Slated

On Sunday, July 18, at 3 p.m., sen-
iors will be guests at the eighth
annual senior concert sponsored by
the Sally and Harry Nosanchuk
Family Caring Community Fund of
Temple Beth El.
The Michigan Opera Theatre's
"The Best of Broadway" will feature
artists Betsy Bronson, Maria
Cimarelli, Karl Schmidt and Mark
Vondrak. David DiChiera is general
director of MOT. Karen
VanderKloot DiChiera is director of
community programs.
Bronson, soprano/mezzo-soprano,
has performed in opera, operetta and
musical theater and with the Detroit
Symphony Orchestra and the
Birmingham Bloomfield Symphony.
Cimarelli, soprano, actress, has
appeared with symphony orchestras
throughout Michigan, performing
opera, chamber music, oratorio and
musical theater. She is soprano
soloist at Kirk in the Hills
Presbyterian Church and music
director at Birmingham Temple.
Schmidt, tenor, actor, has
appeared in musicals, operas and
revues and has been featured in
MOT main-stage productions. He
has been a soloist with area sympho-
ny orchestras, performed on the
Florida dinner theatre circuit and
sung on the Royal Viking Line
cruise ships.
Vondrak, baritone, actor, tour
manager and associate director of
MOT Community Programs, has
been with MOT since 1980 and per-
formed a wide variety of roles for
both its main stage productions and
the Department of Community
Programs.
