Israel Bonds Hosts Dinner

Sharon Tzur, director of Media
Watch International and the mov-
ing force behind Caravan for
Democracy, will be the guest speak-
er at the Diamond Trustee-Prime
Minister's Club Cocktail Reception
sponsored by the State of Israel
Bonds Metro Detroit Women's
Division honoring Nancy Jacobson.
The tribute will take place
Wednesday, June 23, at the home of
Doreen Hermelin.
Tzur directs Media Watch
International, an independent, non-
denominational, non-partisan
organization dedicated to promot-
ing accurate and impartial media
coverage of Israel and the Middle
East. The Caravan for Democracy, a
Media Watch International initia-
tive, was launched in March 2002
to promote Israel's truthful message
on college campuses.

held its annual meeting and instal-
lation on June 15 at the Jewish
Home & Aging Services,
Fleischman Residence.
The meeting was
followed by the offi-
cial dedication of the
Dorothy and Peter D.
Brown Memory Care
Pavilion.
The 2004 Award of
Excellence was pre-
sented to Barbara
Eisenberg
Frankel in honor of
her commitment and
support of the agency and the older
adults served.
Joel Smith installed the slate of
incoming 2004-2005 JHAS officers
and board members: Leo Eisenberg,
president; Dan Greenberg, first vice
president; Mark Kowalsky, second
vice president; Geri Margolis, secre-
tary; Carol Dawes, treasurer;
Mitchell Kantor, immediate past
president.
Carol Rosenberg, associate direc-
