Amanda Ryan Katzman, daughter of
Sandy Morof and Dr. Steven Katzman,
will celebrate her bat mitzvah as she
reads from the Torah Saturday, June 19,
at Temple Israel. Other proud members
of her family are David Wolfe and
Bridget Katzman
and very proud
grandparents Irving
and Esther Morof
and Betty Katzman.
Brothers and sisters
also celebrating are

Amanda attends
O.E. Dunckel Middle School in
Farmington Hills. As part Of her mitz-
vah project, she was happy to volunteer
at the Jewish Community Center,
where she assisted teachers with students
in the child development program.

Jonathan Ellis Klar will be called to the
Torah as a bar mitzvah Saturday, June
19, at Adat Shalom Synagogue. He is
the son of Nori and Mark Klar and
brother of Aric and
Michael. His proud
grandparents are
Shirley and Edward
Klar and Muriel
Warren. He is also
the grandson of the
late Richard Warren.
Jonathan is a sev-
enth-grader at
Orchard Lake
Middle School in West Bloomfield. His
mitzvah projects included being a team
member for the Relay for Life, volun-
teering for the Grodman Cure
Foundation and cooking and serving a
meal for the homeless in Detroit.

called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah on
Saturday, June 12, at
