New Team At Beth Ahm
At the May 26 installation of officers
and trustees, Congregation Beth Ahm's
incoming President Robert Steingold
announced that as the synagogue
searches for a new
rabbi, it has arranged
for Rabbi Aaron
Bergman to serve as
guest rabbi and
Professor Howard
Lupovitch as visiting
scholar.
Rabbi Bergman
Rabbi Bergman
will be officiating at
b'nai mitzvah, weddings and High
Holiday services. Rabbi Emeritus A.
Irving Schnipper will be available for
other pastoral needs.
Dr. Lupovitch will be davening
Shabbat services and, along with Rabbi
Bergman, will teach in Beth Ahm's
adult education program. Ronn Nadis
and Dr. Lupovitch
will chant the High
Holiday liturgy.
High school stu-
dents Jonathan Warsh
and Rebecca Zwickl
will help to create a
junior synagogue
board for older youth
Dr Lupovitch
with the goal of
enhancing youth pro-
grams.

Landau Lecture Planned
The legacy of Rabbi Ezekiel Landau of
Prague (1713-1793), Torah scholar and
Jewish leader, will be the subject of a
lecture at Congregation B'nai Moshe
7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 29.
The event is sponsored by the Kolel
Moshe Institute for Lifelong Jewish
Learning, B'nai Moshe's adult learning
program. Professor Howard Lupovitch,
Pulver Family assistant professor of
Jewish studies in the history department
