Those eligible are Jewish commu- nal professionals employed by Federation and its family of agencies who have been working in the Detroit Jewish community for at least five years. Nominees must have made a sig- nificant contribution to the general good of the Jewish community, demonstrating the highest standards of professionalism, knowledge and dedication in the services they pro- vide. Torreano is responsible at SBC for regulatory, legislative, and external affairs, as well as community and industry relations throughout the state of Michigan. She is chair of the board for the Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce and a board member of Detroit Renaissance. The evening's co-chairs are Dennis W. Archer, Harold Beznos, Jeffrey R.
