Magy Heads Adat Shalom

Paul S. Magy will be installed as
president of Adat Shalom Synagogue
at a special Kabbalat Shabbat cele-
bration and installation Friday, June
11. Magy becomes president after
'having served on the Adat Shalom
Board of Trustees since 1988 and
the executive committee since 1992.
Also elected at
Adat Shalom's
annual meeting
last month were:
first vice presi-
dent, David
Schostak; vice
president,
Michael Gellis;
recording secre-
tary, Julie
Teicher; treasurer,
Magy
Lori Issner; exec-
utive committee
members at large, Jeffrey Supowit,
Barbara Kappy and Robert Rubin.
Newly elected members of the
board of trustees are Ronald
Charfoos, Tobi Fox and Joyce
Weingarten.
At this year's installation, the offi
cers and board members of the Adat
Shalom Men's Club and Adat
Shalom Memorial Park will also
assume office.
Joel Gershenson, Nancy
Handelman, Roger Leemis and Neal
Zalenko were elected to serve on the
Adat Shalom Memorial Park Board.
This year's installation Shabbat
evening will begin with Minchah
services at 6 p.m. From 6:15 to 6:45
p.m., members will hear Danny
Nevins and the Klezmaniacs.
Following a buffet supper, a
Chasidic-style Kabbalat Shabbat
service and installation has been
planned from 7:45 to 8:30 p.m.
There is a $20 dinner charge for
adults and a $10 fee for children 3-
12. Reservations are required by
June 7. The evening is chaired by
Beverly Liss and Barbara Kappy.
