Q : Do you have to be a veteran to receive

OBITS from page 97

a flag for a funeral? I've noticed more U.S.
flags draped over caskets lately than in the
many years I've attended funerals at your
chapel. Can you explain why?

A:

A war veteran's family who presents an
honorable discharge is eligible to receive a
flag, Which we obtain from the U.S. Post
Office. Since the terrorist attacks of 9/I I,
we too have noticed a dramatic increase in
families requesting flags to display at funerals.
