MARTIN SATZ, 89, of Southfield, died May 14, 2004. He was a retired psychology profes- sor from Bloomsburg University, Bloomsburg, Pa. Dr. Satz was born in Minneapolis, Minn. He earned his bachelor of arts and master of arts degrees at the Satz University of Minnesota and continued to complete his Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Washington in Seattle in 1952. As a captain in the U.S. Air Force from 1941-1946, he served two years in Alaska-Aleutian Islands. While residing in Pennsylvania, Dr. Satz was an active participant in many commu- nity activities including president of Beth Israel Congregation, president of Columbia County Torch and board member of the Mental Health Association. After retiring from Bloomsburg University, he went into private prac- tice. Dr. Satz and his wife, Miriam, moved to the Fountains of Franklin in Southfield three years ago to be near
