Janice Tracht of West Bloomfield is the new president of the Michigan Interprofessional Association for the Family and Divorce (MIPA). Tracht is a clinical social worker in private practice specializ- ing in families going through transi- tion. David Stiebel, son of Devorah and Alex Stiebel of Bloomfield Hills, a junior at the Jewish Academy of Metropolitan Detroit, is one of 75 students chosen nationwide to par- ticipate in the annual Research Science Institute. The all-expenses- paid program has sites in Boston and on the campus of the California Institute of Technology. Stiebel will attend the MIT program. William J.
