Hillary Jo Cherney will read from the

daughter of Mindy
and Jack Cherney
and sister of
Andrew. Her proud
grandmother is
Marilyn Cherney.
She is also the
grandchild of the
late Judge Joseph S.
Linden, the late Helen Linden and the
late Fred Cherney.
A student at West Hills Middle
School in Farmington Hills, Hillary
raised funds as part of her mitzvah proj-
ects and was a team captain for the walk
to "de-feet" ALS.

Joshua Aaron Davidson was called to
the Torah as a bar mitzvah Saturday,
April 17, at Congregation Beth Ahm.
He is the son of
Steven and Esther
Davidson and
brother of Danny
and Arielle. His
proud grandparents
are Sidi and Avi
Rothman of
Cincinnati, Ohio,
and Candy
Davidson of
Dayton, Ohio. He is also the grandson
of the late Dr. David Davidson.
Josh is an honor student at Abbott
Middle School in West Bloomfield. His
mitzvah project was to collect and dis-
tribute toys and personal items to chil-
dren from abusive and broken homes,
who are being cared for at the Ennis
Center in Pontiac.

Amy Ilene Flaisher (Aliyah Fayga) will
celebrate her bat mitzvah Saturday, May
15, at Adat Shalom Synagogue. She is
the daughter of David and Enid
Flaisher of West Bloomfield, the grand-
daughter of Nathan Flaisher of
Huntington Woods
and Alfonso and
Mercedes Serrano of
Puerto Rico. She is
also the grand-
daughter of the late
Rebecca Flaisher.
Amy attends
Orchard Lake

Middle School in West Bloomfield. Her
mitzvah projects included packing food
at Yad Ezra in Berkley, delivering food
to JARC homes and participating in
fund-raising for her school and the
American Heart Association.

Justin Alexander Gelzayd will be called
to the Torah as a bar mitzvah Saturday,
May 15, at Congregation Shaarey
Zedek Southfield. He is the son of Julie
and Bradford Gelzayd and brother of
Evan and Lauren. Proud grandparents
are Cookie and Sy Newman and
Reinart and Eugene
Gelzayd. He is also
the great-grandson
of Dorraine and
Arthur Zief.

student at Walnut
Creek Middle
School in Walled
Lake. His mitzvah
projects include vol-
unteering at the Fleischman Residence
in West Bloomfield, assisting seniors;
helping at the Grodman Cure
Foundation for juvenile diabetes; and
acting as a teacher assistant at the Beth
Hayeled summer camp in West
Bloomfield.

Jenna Samantha Good, daughter of
Lisa and Bruce Gooel, celebrated her
bat mitzvah at Temple Israel Friday,
April 30. She is the sister of Lauren,
Stephanie and Michelle. Her proud
grandparents are Jo and Edward Simon
and Elaine Kaufman. She is also the
grandchild of the
late Richard Gooel
and the great-grand-
child of the late
Alma and Bert
Gooel.
An honor student
at Orchard Lake

Jenna assisted at sev-
eral different JARC functions and plans
to continue helping there after her bat
mitzvah. She also helped make dolls for
children at Hadassah House in West
Bloomfield.
