Chapel Committee Named
Michael Grand has been named as
committee chair for the Cantor Louis
Klein Chapel at Congregation B'nai
Moshe.
Helping Grand will be sub-corn-
mittee chairs Alisa Peskin-Shepherd,
Robert Roth, Leonard Wanetik and
Don Sachs. Construction should
begin later this summer with comple-
tion early next year.
The chapel is named in memory of
Cantor Louis Klein, who served
Congregation B'nai Moshe for more
than 40 years beginning in 1958.

Congregation B'nai Moshe will offer
Torah study opportunities this sum-
mer for adult learners through its
Kolel Moshe Lifelong Learning
Institute. The classes and events are
open to the community.
Lunch and Learn on Yom Sheini
meets every Monday at noon and will
feature "The Kaddish Prayer" taught
by Rabbi Elliot Pachter and "Angels,
Martyrs and Dragons: The Sometimes
Strange World of Jewish Literature
After the Bible" with Rabbi Charles
Popky. Cantor Earl Berris will offer
"How to Leyn Torah."
Professor Howard Lupovitch will
offer a series of summer lectures. A
new learning minyan format will be
launched on Sunday mornings and
Cantor Earl Berris will teach new
Shabbat melodies. Adult Hebrew
classes are ongoing. Two adult study
groups meet on Shabbat mornings.
In honor of Shavuot, Eric
Grossman, head of Bible for the
Jewish Academy of Metropolitan
Detroit, will discuss "Making Sense of
Sinai" on Tuesday, May 25 with a
dairy dinner at 6:30 p.m., followed by
the shiur at 7 pm. Reservations for
dinner must be made by May 24.
