Sisterhood Hosts Luncheon The Temple Beth El Sisterhood donor luncheon will be Thursday, May 13, at the temple. The event will feature boutique shopping 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m., a brunch, a fashion presentation and a tribute to Renda Hertz at 11:30 a.m. The widow of Rabbi Richard C. Hertz, Renda has been actively involved in sisterhood and other tem- ple committees. She also devotes many hours to visiting members in hospitals and residential facilities. Her interest in health care needs led to the establishment of the Rabbi Richard C. and Renda Hertz Gift of Life Fund at the temple, which assists congre- gants facing long-term medical problems. Buzz Thomas III, D- Detroit, will discuss redlining. Rev. Wendell Anthony and Nancy Quarles will lead a discussion on "Partnerships Then and Now: What Has Happened To Our Traditional Alliance." Highlight of the weekend will be a free concert by blues and folk singers Robert Jones and Matt Watroba 7 p.m. Saturday, May 15, at Temple Emanu-El.
