Remembering Together

Ann Arborites and Israeli students celebrate Yom HaZikaron.

Ann Arbor
hile on Federation's Michigan Miracle Mission 4, Ann Arborites made sure
to pay a visit to students at Nahalal Elementary School, which has had a
relationship with the Hebrew Day School of Ann Arbor since 1998, when
they began a book exchange. During the visit, students treated mission-goers to a
Yom HaZikaron presentation, which included dancing, creating a large Mogen David
out of crepe paper and a candle-lighting ceremony. The Ann Arbor guests were asked
to light the special memorial candles. The mission was April 18-28.
