B'NAI MITZVAH from page 61

Bradley Adam Verona will celebrate his
bar mitzvah as he is called to the Torah
Friday, April 30, at Temple Israel. He is
the son of Julie and Paul Verona and the
brother of Brandon and Jessica. His
proud grandparents
are Judy and
Coleman Verona
and Frank Adell. He
is also the grandson
of the late Sharon
Adell.
Brad is an honor
student at Derby
Middle School in
Birmingham. As
part of his mitzvah projects, he partici-
pated in Gilda's Walk, volunteered at
Gleaners Food Bank in Detroit and
donated funds he earned collecting cans
to the Dr. Vaitkevicius Research Fund.

Zachary Scott Yaker
was called to the
Torah Saturday,
April 24, at
Congregation Beth
Shalom. His very
proud parents are
Jennifer and Brad
Yaker of West
Bloomfield. He is
the grandson of Pat and Ted Wasson of
Bloomfield Hills and Elaine and Barry
Yaker of Birmingham.
Zach is a double honor student at
Hillel Day School of Metropolitan
Detroit in Farmington Hills. His mitz-
vah projects included the Dor L'Dor
program and the JARC program with
Hillel, visiting Menorah House and
preparing and serving food at the
Crossroads Soup Kitchen in Detroit on
several occasions.
