FEDERATION'S YOUNG ADULT DIVISION

YAD

Michelle Lauren Schwartz was called
to the Torah as a bat mitzvah Saturday,
April 24, at Congregation Beth Ahm.
She is the loving daughter of Wendy
and Alan Schwartz. Sharing in this spe-
cial event were her brothers Scott and
David. Her proud grandparents are
Stuart and Sharon Allen and Rosalie
and George Schwartz.
Michelle is a sev-
enth-grade honor
student at Berkshire
Middle School in
Beverly Hills. She
did many mitzvah
projects, including
organizing a food
drive for Grace
Center for Hope in
Pontiac, babysitting
at Beth Ahm during High Holiday
services and playing her clarinet at
Fleischman Residence in West
Bloomfield.

Lisa Renee Shapiro will be called to
the Torah as a bat mitzvah on Saturday,
May 1, at Congregation Beth Ahm.
She is the loving daughter of Margie
and Steven Shapiro of West Bloomfield
and little sister of Michael and David.
- Her proud grandparents are Jo and
Ernie Fridson and Sara and Asa
Shapiro.
Lisa is an honor
student at West
Hills Middle School
in Bloomfield Hills.
One of her mitzvah
projects was volun-
teering as a clown at
the Purim carnival.
She also volunteered
at Yad Ezra in
Berkley.

Alexandra (Lexi) Hart Targan will read
from the Torah on the occasion of her
bat mitzvah Saturday, May 1, at Adat
Shalom Synagogue.
She is the daughter
of Holli and
Anthony Targan and
the beloved sister of
Rebecca. Very proud
grandparents are
Franceen Hart and
Barry and Arleen
Targan. Lexi is also
the granddaughter
of the late Stanley Hart.
Lexi is an honor student at Abbott
Middle School in West Bloomfield. She
volunteered at Yad Ezra in Berkley for
her mitzvah project.
