at Congregation Shaarey Zedek
Southfield. She is
the daughter of
Steven and Diane
Klein and sister of
Scott. Proud grand-

and Charles Brasch
and Marilyn Adams.
Leslee is an honor
student at Walled
Lake Middle
School. Her mitzvah projects include
participation in the American Cancer
Society Relay for Life and volunteering
for Farmington Hills-based JARC. She
especially enjoyed making teddy bears
through Shaarey Zedek for hospitalized
children in Israel.

Stephanie, will be called to the Torah as
a bar mitzvah dur-
ing Havdalah servic-
es Saturday, May 1,
at Congregation
Beth Shalom. His
proud grandparents
are Marsha and
Harry Korn and
Bella Shcultz. He is
also grandson of the
late Alvin Schultz.
Bradley attends East Middle School
in Farmington Hills. For his mitzvah
project, he visited the seniors at
American House with his religious
school classmates; he will also spend
time volunteering for the American
Cancer Society.

Joseph Max Lichterman (Yossi) will be
called to the Torah as a bar mitzvah
Saturday, May 1, at Congregation Beth
Shalom. He is the son of Susan and
Mark Lichterman,
brother of Allie and
Eden and the
grandson of Ruth
Lichterman and
Judge Benjamin and
Annie Friedman.
He is also the
grandson of the late
Gerald Lichterman,
for whom he is
named.
Yossi is a seventh-grade honor stu-
dent at Hillel Day School of
Metropolitan Detroit in Farmington
Hills. For his mitzvah projects, he par-
ticipated in the - Dor L'Dor and JARC
programs with Hillel classmates. Yossi
and Nathan Chesterman sponsored a

bottle and can drive for Magen David
Adom, raising several hundred dollars.

Gabriel Ari Pachter will celebrate
becoming a bar mitzvah at
Congregation B'nai Moshe Saturday,
May 1. He is the son of Naomi
Weckstein and Rabbi Elliot Pachter, the
brother of Jonathan
and the grandson of
Joyce and Dr.
Marvin Weckstein
and Sylvia and
Sydney Pachter.
Gabriel is a sev-
enth-grade student
at Hillel Day School
of Metropolitan
Detroit in Farmington Hills. His par-
ticipation in gemilut chasadim (acts of
lovingkindness) through school include
reading the Megillah to the elderly and
visiting a JARC home.

Aaron Matthew Rivkin will read from
the Torah on the occasion of his bar
mitzvah Saturday, May 1, at Temple
Israel. He is the son of Dr. Suzanne
Rivkin and Steven and Pam Rivkin.
His siblings are Ryan Rivkin and
Nicole and Dustin
Feinberg. Sharing in
the simchah will be
his grandparents
Harriett and
Morton Freedman,
Toby and Bob
Rivkin. He is also
the grandson of the
late Rae Rivkin.
Aaron is a student
at Walled Lake Middle School. He
donated books to Bagley Elementary
School in Detroit as part of his mitzvah
projects; he also worked at the Temple
Israel nursery school.

Julie Lauren Schare will be called to
the Torah as a bat mitzvah on Saturday,
May 1, at Adat
Shalom Synagogue.
She is the daughter
of Agnes and Keith
Schare and sister of
Jamie. Proud grand-
mothers are Magda
Losonci and
Roberta Schare. She
is also the grand-
daughter of the late
Marvin Schare and the late Leslie
Losonci.
Julie is an honor student at Walled
Lake Middle School. Her most mean-
ingful mitzvah projects were donating
her hair to Locks of Love and packing
food at Yad Ezra in Berkley.
