"I'm also a professional accordion player and have worked with a num- ber of klezmer bands." • Luminsky has appeared with the Flying Bulgar Klezmer Band, Beyond the Pale and trio Norte, sometimes traveling to distant countries and bringing various musical styles into their work. Bill Bridges, who plays guitar for trio Norte, worked with the Shaw Festival and referred Luminsky, who last year performed music by Kurt Weill. "The Shaw Festival has been one of my best experiences," says Luminsky, who considers his Jewish roots impor- tant to his klezmer shows.
