Allison. is a stu-
dent at West Hills
Middle School in
Bloomfield Hills. For her mitzvah
project, she spent time volunteering at
Yad Ezra in Berkely and has participat-
ed in ALS of Michigan fund-raising
auctions and walks for the past three
years in memory of her grandmother.

Amy Rebecca Silberstein, daughter of
Sheryl and Ron Silberstein and sister
of Stefani, will celebrate her bat mitz-
vah Friday, April 23, at Temple Israel.
Her grandparents are Joan and Edward
Silberstein and Estelle and Norman
Kirman. She is also the grandchild of
the late Shirley Kirman.
Amy, an honor
student, attends
Warner Middle
School in
Farmington Hills.
For her mitzvah
projects, she volun-
teered at Yad Ezra
in Berkley and par-
ticipated in and
contributed to
Relay for Life.

Jessica Elayna Singer will become a
bat mitzvah Friday, April 23, at
Congregation Shaarey Zedek
Southfield. Proud family members
include her parents, Debra and Miles
Singer, and her siblings Stephanie and
Maxwell. Jessica is the granddaughter
of Beth and Sidney Feldman and
Sandra and Kenneth Rasmussen. She is
the great-granddaughter of Anne
Abugow, Sally Feldman and Edith
Rosenberg.
Jessica is an
honor student at
Orchard Lake
Middle School in
West Bloomfield.
During the past
two years, she has
enjoyed spending
time at the Danto
Family Health Care
Center in West
Bloomfield, planting flowers at a JARC
home in Deerfield Village and creating
blankets for children in Israel.

Matthew Eli Stoloff, son of Brenda
and Paul Stoloff, will read from the

Torah on the occasion of his bar mitz-
vah Saturday, April 24, at Temple
Israel. He is the brother of Hannah.
His grandparents are Geraldine Kraus
and Ethel Stoloff; he is also the grand-
son of the late Dr. Edmond Kraus and
the late Marvin Stoloff. His proud
great-grandmother
is Esther Kaplan.
Matthew is a stu-
dent at Walled Lake
Middle School. He
has participated in
the multiple sclero-
sis walk for many
years and added the
walk for lupus this
year as part of his
mitzvah projects. He also does volun-
teer work at the Multiple Sclerosis
SoCiety.

Korey Steven Sweet will celebrate his
bar mitzvah Saturday, April 24, at
Temple Shir Shalom. He is the son of
Ida and Jack Sweet and brother of Mara
and of the late Kal. He is also the
grandson of the late Goldie and Karl
Schweitzer and Marjorie and Sam
Sweet.
Korey is a student
at Orchard Lake
Middle School in
West Bloomfield.
His mitzvah projects
include volunteering
at Temple Shir
Shalom's Sunday
school and donating
money to the federal
Emergency Management Agency. He
also donated coats and blankets for
Temple Shir Shalom's clothing drive.

Zachary Scott Yaker will be called to
the Torah as a bar mitzvah on Saturday,
April 24, at Congregation Beth
Shalom. He is the son of Jennifer and
Brad, brother of Eli and Jesse and
grandson of Elaine and Barry Yaker and

Pat and Ted Wasson.
Zachary is a double honor student at
Hillel Day School of Metropolitan
Detroit in Farmington Hills. His mitz-
vah projects include
donating time to
Dor L'Dor and
JARC programs
through Hillel and
visiting Menorah
House during the
High Holidays.
Zachary has also
helped prepare and
serve food to homeless guests on several
occasions at the Crossroads Soup
Kitchen in Detroit.
