Celebrating with him will be his parents Ina and Keith Bornstein and his sister Allison. Mark is the grand- son of Lorraine and Al Dangovian, Audrey and Melvin Bornstein and the late Benin. Bornstein. Mark is in seventh grade at Norup Middle School in Oak Park. For his mitzvah project, he sponsored a family through Volunteers of America and he helped at various temple events. Jaymie Dorit Cohen will be called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah on Saturday, April 17, at Congregation Shaarey Zedek Southfield. She is the loving daughter of Drs. Susan and Steven Cohen of Franklin and big sister to Sam, Noah and Joshy. Her proud grandparents are Robert and Shirley Cohen of Solon, Ohio, and Marilyn and Dr. Herbert Mayers of Pepper Pike, Ohio. Jaymie is an honor student in seventh grade at Berkshire Middle School in Beverly Hills. For one of her mitzvah projects, she organized a baby blanket sewing project, which produced 28 receiving blankets embroidered with messages for foster care babies at Orchards Children's Services. Jaymie also donated 14 inches of her hair to Locks for Love. Daniel Max Edelson will be called to the Torah as a bar mitzvah at Congregation 0 Shaarey Zedek Southfield Saturday, April 17. He is the son of Drs. Gary Edelson and Leora Bar-Levav and big brother to Rina and Jacob. Sharing in the simchah will be grandpartents Herb and Irma Edelson, Sylvia Iwrey and Pamela Torraco. He is also the grandson of the late Dr. Reuven Bar-Levay. - Daniel attends Hillel Day School of Metropolitan. Detroit in Farmington Hills. His mitzvah projects include the sponsoring and arranging for a school walk for diabetes in support of the American Diabetes Associaion, buddying with a child as part of the Friendship Circle and involvement with Farmington Hills-based JARC and the Fleischman Residence in West Bloomfield along with Hillel classmates. He also contributed funds to the Jewish National Fund. Artur Fruman will read from the Torah on the occasion of his bar mitzvah Saturday, April 17, at Temple Israel. He is the son of Igor and Liza Fruman and Milena and Roman Shlafer and the brother of Arielle and Daniel. Artur attends Hillel Day School of Metropolitan Detroit in Farmington Hills. His most meaningful mitzvah proj- ect was helping at a soup kitchen; he also donated funds to Farmington Hills-based JARC. Jeff is an honor student at Anderson Middle School in Berkley. For. his mitz- vah project, he visited seniors at the American House with his Hebrew school class. For the past six years, he has also volunteered at Yad Ezra in Berkley, along with participating at the Coalition On Temporary Shelter in Detroit.
