The Cohn-Haddow Center for Judaic Studies at Wayne State University in Detroit is presenting a free lecture and slide presentation by Dora Apel, WSU professor of art and art history. Couple Relive Journey The Jewish Genealogical Society, the Jewish Historical Society of Michigan and Adat Shalom Synagogue will host Gerald and Barbara Cook as they relive their Jewish heritage journey, "To The Ukraine With Love," at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 11, at Adat Shalom • Synagogue. The Cooks visited the shtetls of Zhivotiv, Tetiev and Zashkiv. They sought out the small Jewish popula- tion and the remains of Jewish ceme- teries and toured the old Jewish sec- tions. Their presentation includes many phOtographs that show the con- trasts between the villages that remain frozen in time and the very modern city of Kiev.
